Working within the CT department at the RLI provides opportunities to gain excellent experience in a wide range of CT imaging procedures including trauma, MSK, neurological, vascular, paediatrics and oncology. We also offer Radiographer led CTC, and cardiac imaging. The Radiology department is equipped with Sectra PACS and RIS. The CT department is equipped with two GE CT scanners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring they provide an efficient, friendly professional service for patients and users of the Access to Health services. To undertake administrative responsibility in seeking permission for the release of clinical information to variety of external agencies, this includes both clinical and non-clinical requests.

Experience in an NHS environment and an understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Access to Health Records Act 1990 is an essential requirement.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the Rheumatology Department who are seeking a replacement Consultant Rheumatologist to join a team of 3.5 consultants, 4 specialist registrars, 2 GPSI’s, specialist nursing staff and fully functional wider MDT, supported by input from all associated specialties.

This is a replacement post and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-looking rheumatologist. There is no GIM commitment for this post.

The post is for a full-time contract (10 PAs) but the option to work flexibly (less than full time) exists if it is the candidate’s preference. The job is available as soon as a successful candidate is appointed.

The Royal Lancaster Infirmary provides an active acute thrombolysis service (with thrombectomy provided at Royal Preston Hospital) and also makes use of the specialist Telestroke On-Call Service out of hours and at weekends. There is an opportunity to join the general medicine On-Call Rota, Telestroke On-Call rota, or both

The post supports continued development of the Stroke Service and you will work alongside two existing Stroke Consultants, as well as a wider Care of the Elderly Team and General Medicine colleagues. Our department has a workload to keep you interested and challenged, but still give you time to talk to your patients properly, and undertake the practical procedures that interest you as an Acute Frailty Consultant, which will enhance patient care. The department is staffed with a good skill mix of Consultants, SAS Doctors and Junior Doctors, working closely with the strong nursing team including an evolving team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to support the further development of Acute Frailty Care in this area.

Each team will normally be caring for a small caseload of women and their families on a ratio of 1:36 per year based on a geographical area surrounding Royal Lancaster Infirmary. 

As a continuity of carer midwife, you will be working in a team of 6-8 midwives caring for diverse populations including vulnerable women, women from different ethnicities, teenagers and women with low risk and complex pregnancies. You will be booking women’s pregnancies, providing their routine antenatal care, providing continuity during intrapartum care in the birth setting of the woman’s choice, and following her through to the postnatal period.

Our teams will be linked to obstetricians, specialist midwives and professional midwifery advocates. Furthermore, we can also offer you complete autonomy of your diary, flexible hours, self-rostering, team working, and a buddy system with support and continuing professional development.
