 You will join a team of eight existing consultants supported by 1 SAS doctor, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists. Our department has a reputation for being friendly and supportive with particularly good working relationships and there is capacity for a wide variety of sub-specialty interests to be accommodated and developed. Specialty interests of current Gastroenterologists include Bowel Cancer Screening, IBD, Hepatology and ERCP / Therapeutic endoscopy.

The Trust operates a 7 day bleeding service and the job plan for these posts include a 1 in 5 GI bleeding rota that incorporates a 24/7 bleed service at weekends whilst on-call. 

The posts will be based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary; however, travel to our other sites to carry out Cross Bay GI Bleed cover and Endoscopy Sessions / Clinics will be required

We are looking to appoint a new Director of Midwifery. We are seeking an inspirational individual who can offer professional leadership and mentoring to a dedicated and committed team to deliver outstanding patient care. Our new Director of Midwifery will have their eye on the horizon to meet the needs of our patients across a varied geographical landscape.

You will be an experienced senior leader who has a deep understanding of organic midwifery care. Someone who can work with the Chief Nurse and divisional leadership team and offer professional assurance and strategic advice on future service developments and best practice. We welcome applications from individuals looking for either full or part-time work.

Applicants are welcomed from individuals who would be interested in this post on a substantive basis, although we would also support applications from individuals who might be interested in this post as a twelve month secondment opportunity, to come and work for an organisation which provides quality, compassionate care and supports its staff.
