An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated band 5 staff nurse to join the team on Langdale North and South which is situated in the heart of the Lake District.

The Step up Step down Unit has a bed base of 46 beds across two wards and focuses on a high standard of holistic assessment and care planning of patients who are admitted from both Community services and secondary care. The aim is to be able to facilitate early patient discharge through a Multi-Disciplinary team approach working with partners from both health and social care. You will therefore develop the ethos of integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard.

The  Trust values training and development very highly. We want all our staff to develop their learning and career and we will always support you to study further and extend your own knowledge. We have a range of courses to help you develop your clinical skills in the community.

Opportunities are available in Acute and Elderly Medicine, the Surgical Division at our acute hospital sites which are situated at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI) in Lancaster, Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal and Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow in Furness. As well as the acute services we also have opportunities for colleagues to work in our Community teams across the Lancashire and South Cumbria areas of the Morecambe Bay Area.

We are seeking to employ a full time clinical nurse specialist in heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia. We are a community cardiology service covering north lancashire with a caseload of over 450 patients.  

You will be expected to travel within the area and be able to offer both clinic and domiciliary based management of patients with complex heart failure and arrhythmia. We provide a service for both diagnosed and un-diagnosed cardiac conditions and work closely with our secondary care colleagues. 

We employ a GP with specialist interest in cardiology alongside an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and undertake cardiac rhythm analysis.

The service is monday-friday excluding bank holidays.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Band 5 staff nurse  to join our dedicated  team here at Millom Community hospital.

Millom hospital is a 9 bed in patient unit for which we provide a variety of nursing care to local patients that have been stepped down from the acute hospital or stepped  up form the community. The care provided as  an in patient service is primarily rehabilitation and end of life care. The district nursing team provide a community planned service between the hours of 8:30 am to 6:00 Pm.

The role is an integrated post rotating between the in patient ward and the community district nursing service. The post is full time and will include shift rotation including weekend and night duty. 

Relevant training can be supported to the successful candidate to ensure up to date care is delivered to a very high standard.

Recent experience of Leadership  is essential  and knowledge of current systems would be advantageous eg e-rostering, Lorenzo, EMIS.
