The Trust
University hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust operate on three main sites in the Cumbria & Lancashire area and have about 800 beds with a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. The Trust is an Associated University Teaching Hospital, linked with Lancaster Medical School and this reflects in the emphasis placed on Education & Development.

The Post
We are looking for clinically orientated, enthusiastic, highly motivated and adaptable Pharmacists to join our team.

We have flexible opportunities available based at Furness General Hospital for part-time or full time staff

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Royal Lancaster Infirmary  Pharmacy Department  is looking for an enthusiastic, well-motivated person to join the team.

Working within the Pharmacy main dispensary, the post will involve dispensing medications for in-patients and those being discharged from hospital. You must be able to work as a team member and on an individual basis.

Previous Pharmacy experience and an BTec and NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy services is essential together with competent IT skills and good basic education including English and Maths  to GCSE level grade C or above.

Working – 30 hours per week plus participation in Weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.

Working Pattern –  Shifts will be 14:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, however we would consider an earlier shift of 11:00 to 14:30 (17.5 hours per week) , plus participation in Weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.
