A 12 month temporary opportunity has arisen, within the Radiology Department, for a Clinical Support Worker to work alongside our Radiographers at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary to cover Maternity Leave.

This position will provide an exciting challenge for a dynamic and empathetic team player, with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm, who enjoys working within a hospital environment.

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Radiology team. The main responsibilities will include receiving our patients into the department on our reception desks, accurately entering patient and examination data in to the Radiology IT system, answering the telephone, responding to queries from patients, GPs and staff and general patient care.

Previous experience in a similar role is essential as this is for a temporary period. 

The successful applicant would be expected to participate in the Bank Holiday rota where necessary.  Flexibility to be able to work evenings and at the weekend may be required.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

Lancaster District Nurses has an exciting opportunity to recruit to a 33.75hr permanent Clinical Support Worker position.

We would like an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Support Worker who will be happy to work in an evolving district nursing service. The successful applicant will be committed to working closely with health and social care colleagues to provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.

The role requires excellent communication skills as you will be delivering programmes of care for patients and carers. The district nurses work a 24hr service and there is an opportunity to work different shift patterns to ensure service delivery.

You will need to work collaboratively with other professionals, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care to patients in their own homes and community setting.

A part-time vacancy has arisen for an experienced Healthcare Science Assistant in the Blood Science service at Furness General Hospital, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.

Based in the Biochemistry section, you will be joining a busy team providing an essential service for patients in the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area.

This is an interesting and challenging position which would ideally suit someone with previous Pathology laboratory experience who is able to work under pressure to extremely high standards.

You will be contracted to work 18.75 hours over 6 days each week, 08:50-11:50, Monday to Friday and 09:15-13:00 on Saturday.
