 You will join a team of eight existing consultants supported by 1 Nurse Consultant, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners and 7 Clinical Nurse Specialists. Our department has a reputation for being friendly and supportive with particularly good working relationships and there is capacity for a wide variety of sub-specialty interests to be accommodated and developed. Specialty interests of current Gastroenterologists include Bowel Cancer Screening, IBD, Hepatology and ERCP / Therapeutic endoscopy.

The Trust operates a 7 day bleeding service and the job plan for these posts include a 1 in 5 GI bleeding rota that incorporates a 24/7 bleed service at weekends whilst on-call. 

There are two posts one will be based at Royal Lancaster Infirmary; and the other at Furness General Hospital.   Travel to our other sites to carry out Cross Bay GI Bleed cover and Endoscopy Sessions / Clinics will be required

The Trust has a keen interest and extensive involvement in Medical and Dental Education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We work in partnership with Lancaster Medical School and Health Education England North West to provide quality education and training which meets the requirements of these regulatory bodies as well as the Trust’s high standards of patient care.

Consultant Gastroenterology Physicians must hold full GMC with a licence to practice and be on the Specialist Register or be within six months of obtaining your CCT award at the time of interview.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rheumatology team within the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT). We are seeking a clinician with imagination, drive and commitment to work across Morecambe Bay.

Full time, but applications would be welcome from those wishing to work part time.

This is a great opportunity to be part of the Rheumatology Department who are seeking a replacement Consultant Rheumatologist to join a team of 3.5 consultants, 4 specialist registrars, 2 GPSI’s, specialist nursing staff and fully functional wider MDT, supported by input from all associated specialties.

This is a replacement post and we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-looking rheumatologist. There is no GIM commitment for this post.

The post is for a full-time contract (10 PAs) but the option to work flexibly (less than full time) exists if it is the candidate’s preference. The job is available as soon as a successful candidate is appointed.

You will need a full UK divers licence and access to a vehicle in order to fulfil this role.

This post represents a career opportunity for a clinician with imagination, drive and commitment to work with the other Oncology Consultants and the wider cancer multidisciplinary team. You would be expected to work in two main tumour sites with some flexibility depending on the preferences of the candidate but ideally covering systemic therapy for Lung, Upper GI or Renal cancer, working in partnership with the current UHMB 
Oncologists as well as visiting Clinical Oncologists from Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will also contribute to the acute oncology inpatient service in UHMB although there is currently no on call commitment associated with the post.

This is a pan-UHMB appointment and the appointee will be expected to work across at least two of the three UHMB sites Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Westmoreland General Hospital and Furness General Hospital. The Trust is a recognised Cancer Unit, providing systemic therapy for all common tumour sites. SACT is given at all three sites. In-patients are treated at FGH and RLI. The Trust is part of the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Strategic Clinical Network.
