(Three new CT scanners, three new MR scanners and 16 new USS machines in the last four years). The PACS has been upgraded to a state of the art SECTRA system along with replacement of all the reporting monitors. A new SPECT CT system has been given approval at Furness General Hospital with plans for a similar replacement in nuclear medicine at the Lancaster site.

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust has a keen interest and extensive involvement in Medical and Dental Education at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We work in partnership with Lancaster Medical School, North Western Deanery and Health Education North West to provide quality education and training which meets the requirements of these regulatory bodies as well as the Trust’s high standards of patient care. You must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of obtaining your CCT at the time of interview.

This Trust is happy to consider flexible working or extended days to deliver more flexible working patterns and provide a desirable work life balance. Remote reporting is available for on call and we are rolling out home reporting for elective work.
