Our Staff Stories
Amanda Kelly - Nurse
What was it about the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust that made you want to come and work here, and when did you start working for the Trust?
I started 18 months ago and working here was a no brainer for me – it’s local to where I live and everyone is so friendly it just made so much sense. My first day reminded me I had a long way to go but in a really good way. I left at the end of the day feeling totally inspired and I just wanted to get better and better.
Debbie Collins - Ward Manager
What do you enjoy most about your career?
I would have to say that the overall team atmosphere is one of the things that I love the most It is such a dynamic environment and by working here there is a real opportunity to actually have an impact on the quality of care in the area, which is something that I am really proud of being part of.
