An Opportunitiy has arisen within Elderly Medicine on the New Acute Frailty Unit situated at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI) in Lancaster.

We are looking to employ registered nurse with elderly care experience who wish to be involved in improving care for frail patients. The Acute Frailty Unit is a 15 bedded assessment unit with a specific assessment criteria. Nurses involved in care will assess. impliment and evaluate care needs for frail patients in order to facilitate early discharge. The Frailty unit is supported by Eldely Consultants and a care of the eldely team of nurses.

This is an ideal opportunity to be involved with the continous development of the frailty unit and to re shape the pathway for the frailty patients within the Morecambe Bay Area.

You will require excellent clinical skills and a passion to provide a high standard of midwifery care to women and families who access our areas.

We have an exciting opportunity within the South Lakes Out of Hours District Nursing Team and are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and well-organised individual to join our team. We are looking to recruit to a permanent post of 18 hours from October 2018. 

The Out of Hours services provides essential support to enable patients to be cared for at home and covers from 1800 – 0800.

We would like an enthusiastic and highly motivated band 5 Community Nurse who will be happy to work in an evolving district nursing service. The successful applicant will be committed to working closely with other Out of Hours services to provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting. The role requires excellent communication skills, in addition skills in wound management, Palliative and end of life care, IV drug administration and care planning skills.

The district nurses work a 24hr service and there is an expectation that you may be required to support this to ensure service delivery.

You will be joining an enthusiastic and motivated team who are friendly and approachable. We are very patient focused and staff development is high on our agenda. As part of our team we want to develop all staff to the highest standard; you will receive regular one to one supervision meetings and an annual appraisal to support and monitor the development of valuable skills. Oncology Unit FGH & WGH

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team providing quality, patient focussed care within the Day Treatment and Out Patient Clinics in the Oncology Unit predominately at Furness General Hospital although some travel to our unit at WGH will be expected. There will be a requirement to work flexibly within the team to support clinical service delivery.

Experience of Oncology and Haematology would be an advantage although full training will be given. You will be expected to undertake the administration of cytotoxic therapies course upon commencement of post. You must also possess excellent communication and customer care skills.
