We are seeking to employ a full time clinical nurse specialist in heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia. We are a community cardiology service covering north lancashire with a caseload of over 450 patients.  

You will be expected to travel within the area and be able to offer both clinic and domiciliary based management of patients with complex heart failure and arrhythmia. We provide a service for both diagnosed and un-diagnosed cardiac conditions and work closely with our secondary care colleagues. 

We employ a GP with specialist interest in cardiology alongside an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and undertake cardiac rhythm analysis.

The service is monday-friday excluding bank holidays.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

We are looking to appoint a part time Resident Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The post contributes to the senior resident on call rota, to increase Consultant presence in our hospitals.    

The post is part-time (6 PAs) and as the Trust runs several hospitals, opportunities may arise which enable working at some of our other sites.

All of the hospitals within the UHMB network are extremely friendly. We have excellent local schools, and road and rail links to the North West and the rest of the country.

Lancaster University has developed a thriving medical school and there is an opportunity to be involved with training third, fourth and fifth year students.

You must hold full GMC with a licence to practice and entry on Specialist Register or in the receipt of CCT within six months of interview

Interview expenses will be paid from point of entry into the UK.

Dalton District Nurses has an exciting opportunity to recruit to a permanent band 5 position, working 22.5 hours weekly over 3 days.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated band 5 Community Nurse who will be happy to work in an evolving district nursing service. The successful applicant will be committed to working closely with health and social care colleagues to provide high quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.

The role requires excellent communication skills as you will be undertaking complex nursing assessments and developing and delivering programs of care for patients and carers. The district nurses work a 24hr service and there is an expectation that you may be required to support this to ensure service delivery which will include working regular evening shifts.

You will need to work collaboratively with other professionals, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care to patients in their own homes and community setting.

We are looking for motivated nurses to help assist and to support patient flow within the Emergency department at Furness General, under the direction of a

registered nurse, providing nursing care and assisting in patient flow management within defined parameters specified by the Registered Nurse (RN) helping to

We are looking to appoint a Community Specialist Practitioner (CSP) qualified Band 6 District Nursing Assistant Team Leader (D/N) in the Milnthorpe  Area  as part of the Integrated Care Community (ICC’s).

Posts available:   1 x 37.5 hr permanent post

You will provide leadership and support innovative new ways of working that will support the ICC’s as they move forward towards an Accountable Care System.

You will work alongside the Team Leader and the other assistant team leader (D/N) providing expert advice and guidance to junior team members. They will actively manage the caseload of patients and undertake complex visits, providing high quality nursing care to patients on the District Nursing caseload.

The post holder’s role will be to:

  • Support the Team Lead in providing clinical leadership and management of the clinical caseload for the team
  • Be responsible for the allocation, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care without direct supervision
  • Demonstrate procedures to and supervise unqualified staff
  • Maintain and ensure high standards and continuity of care on a 24 hour basis
  • To support the movement of patients between the community in-patient beds, secondary care and community teams where appropriate
