The Ophthalmology Team at Westmorland General Hospital is looking to recruit  a  full time receptionist/ booking administrator

You  will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and prepared for the challenge of providing excellent customer service to the patients using the Out Patient Ophthalmology Department.

You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills in a very busy and demanding environment; previous reception experience and knowledge of Lorenzo is an advantage but not essential.

You will be able to work as an effective team member, demonstrate effective communications skills both written and verbal and support the team in the delivery of patient focused care.

The post will demand working with highly confidential information to achieve targets and deadlines. There will be a requirement to work flexibly within the team including some evening and weekend shifts to support service delivery

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment

This vacancy has arisen within University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust at The Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

The Patient Environmental Services Department is looking to recruit an individual to work as part of the Patient Environmental team within the Facilities Department.

You will supervise a teams of staff in providing high quality cleaning, portering, waste removal, and other site services.

Rota management, staff training and auditing are major factors in this role.

Proven supervisory skills and leadership experience are needed. You will have a strong desire to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients, colleagues and visitors at all times.

Experience of working with IT based systems is needed as is the ability to communicate with a diverse range of staff. You will need to respect confidentiality at all times.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a Paediatric Community Speech and Language Team . You will be based in the University City of Lancaster working for University Hospitals Morecambe Bay. Geographically 60 minuets away from bigger city’s such as Liverpool and Manchester and 30 minutes away from the Lake District. 

The Team  work in clinics, schools and in the child home to provide Speech and Language Therapy for children and Young People age  0-19 years. Therapist are part of a Integrated Team of Nurses and Therapists who work together to improve the outcomes for Children.

The Team have good  support , regular clinical supervision and access to external  training opportunities. 

During Covid the team have been innovative and resilient , embracing new technology ,enabling the service to continue  using Tele-practice to provide a virtual programs and groups for children.
