The catering department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary is looking to recruit a Catering Supervisor for their busy department. You will be working for a department that is committed to the ongoing development of their staff.

Main duties will be as a working Supervisor in the restaurant, coffee bar and kitchen areas. Allocation of staff duties, annual leave. Maintaining records of hygiene and HACCP documentation. Liaise with wards regarding patient food service. Front of house duties in the restaurant and coffee bar. Use of tills and cash procedures.

You should have working knowledge of a busy food environment and ideally hold your Foundation food hygiene certificate, full training, and support will be given on induction.

The department offers full uniform and safety shoes.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment

There are two vacancies available within the accredited Sterile Services Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary for a Sterile Services Technician working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:00

You will be responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments, sterile procedure packs and Endoscopes for University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust, the PCT and the community for which it serves.

Experience of working in accredited Sterile Services unit is preferable. However training will be offered to right candidate.

You must have a full clean driving license and able to drive a 3.5 tonne van.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.

The catering department at Westmorland General Hospital is looking to recruit 1 catering assistant for duties in their busy department. You will be working for a department that is committed to the ongoing development of their staff. We are looking to recruit to our Patient Environment Team here at Furness General Hospital.

You should be hardworking, punctual and able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.

The main aim of the role is maintaining  patient movement, removal and disposal of waste, handling of medical gasses,  when required. whilst also supporting  the cleanliness of circulation areas, 

Previous experience would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.

This vacancy has arisen within University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust at Furness General Hospital.

The Patient Environmental Services Department is looking to recruit an individual to work as part of the Patient Environmental team within the Facilities Department.

You will supervise a teams of staff in providing high quality cleaning, portering, waste removal, and other site services.

Rota management, staff training and auditing are major factors in this role.

Proven supervisory skills and leadership experience are needed. You will have a strong desire to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients, colleagues and visitors at all times.

Experience of working with IT based systems is needed as is the ability to communicate with a diverse range of staff. You will need to respect confidentiality at all times.
